Alison's background
When did you become interested in Pilates?
I was born in Albury, NSW and spent many years doing classical ballet. I moved to Sydney to study nursing and after my training spent some time as a nurse educator before becoming the Nursing Unit manager of the neurosurgical/neurology unit. It was here that my interest in spinal rehabilitation and back pain prevention was fostered.
What do you love about pilates?
I love that pilates is a safe and effective form of exercise that can be performed by people of all different fitness levels. I love the fact that exercises can be adapted for individuals and can be applied to every day life. I really enjoy seeing my clients walk taller with increased confidence and in less pain.
